  • The Technical Operations Specialist needs to be able to build and troubleshoot tracking integrations across the various Google platforms.
  • They need to exhibit technical savviness in developing solutions to problems and understanding causes for things to break.
  • They also need to show a degree of creativity in structuring solutions for problems that may arise that have not been standardised yet.
  • A deep technical understanding of how website tracking works through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other associated programs is needed.

About the Position: 

At SearchKings Africa™, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with a comprehensive and efficient service when it comes to managing their Search Engine Ads Campaigns. One way we achieve this is by separating our roles of Account Managers and Technical Operations Specialists.

Our Technical Operations Specialists focus on the technical set-up and tracking of the websites to ensure that Google And Microsoft Ads are accurately tracked and attributed to conversions. These specialists are responsible for implementing website tracking codes, configuring Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and testing tracking to ensure accurate data collection. They work closely with the account managers to ensure that all the necessary technical tracking aspects are in place so that the performance of the ads can be accurately reported. 

The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for utilizing their technical knowledge and experience to produce exceptional outcomes with a special emphasis on Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager Google Business Profile and other key technology integration to ensure our customers’ marketing success. It would be a bonus if the candidate had experience navigating the Microsoft advertising interface and be familiar with its features and have experience in setting up tracking on this platform. 

What You’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis: 

  • Onboard new clients and create and maintain accurate tracking of their ad campaigns. 
  • Troubleshoot client-facing technical issues as required.
  • Integrate automation technologies to optimise client advertising campaigns and revenue generation strategies.
  • Define technical requirements for client campaigns and manage the process. You will also be responsible for ensuring that call-tracking data is properly integrated with our other analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • You will be responsible for managing the technical onboarding and offboarding process of new and old staff by ensuring that they have the appropriate tools and access to the relevant systems as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of similar experience.
  • Relevant degree in Computer science or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google my Business , Google Tag Manger, and understanding how Microsoft Clarity works is a bonus
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good at multi-tasking, able to handle pressure & meeting daily deliverables.
